Every year, millions of people around the world face a serious diagnosis or recommended procedure. Most never get the chance to talk to a second specialist — not because they don't want to, but because the system makes it hard. Different hospitals, different countries, weeks of waiting, language barriers, cost. We built Secondoctor to fix that.
Secondoctor was founded in 2026 with a simple observation: when a friend or family member faces surgery, you call every doctor you know to ask for a second opinion. People without those connections have nowhere to turn. We saw qualified specialists around the world with time to spare, and patients with no easy way to reach them. The platform exists to connect those two groups responsibly — with verified credentials, secure consultations, and honest second opinions.

We design for the person facing a diagnosis at 11pm with a hundred questions, not for the platform. If a feature pressures someone into a paid consultation, we don't ship it. If a doctor wouldn't want their own family treated a certain way, we don't allow it on the platform.
Every doctor on Secondoctor passes a multi-step verification: license check with their national medical board, ID confirmation, certification review, and a final interview with our medical advisory team. We'd rather grow slowly with real specialists than fast with anyone who signs up.
Medicine is complicated enough. Our platform, our doctors, and our reports use plain language wherever possible — not because we're dumbing things down, but because patients deserve to understand what's being said about their bodies.
